Dear valued customer,

We ask of our customers the following when shopping at Uitkyk:

  1. Social distancing – please keep to the minimum of 1.5 meters from your fellow citizen (it’s not only for your own health but also for your family and your fellow citizens). 
  2. Only one member per household.
  3. Do not bring children and elderly persons along as they are most vulnerable. – Please do their shopping on their behalf. 
  4. Use your elbow if you need to sneeze or cough.
  5. Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with water and soap. If water and soap are not available please use a sanitizer with at least 70% alcohol.     
  6. Please do not visit our store when you are ill – place your order for pickup or delivery.       
  7. No eating or drinking inside the store.

Sanitizer is available upon entrance to our store.  

Extra preventative measures implemented:

  1. Services of a registered sister to assist in the daily screening of employees,
  2. Store, facilities, and vehicles are disinfected every week to ensure continuous and total effective sanitation coverage.
  3. An air extractor is used daily to remove the air inside the store which is replaced by fresh air.
  4. Hydromist is used on money notes to disinfect. Hydromist also sold to the public.
  5. Ultraviolet light at card machines to sterilize the card machine’s keypad after each transaction.
  6. Temperature screening, hand, and trolley handle sanitized at the store entrance.
  7. Social Distancing Stickers on Floor.
  8. Continuous training of staff regarding health & safety issues with an emphasis on Covid-19 hygiene.

Food supply:

We are replenishing our shelves, fruit & veg, meat, bread continuously. There is no need for concern or stockpiling.
